Bassam Drebika’s career is a dynamic journey through the heart of the global energy industry, marked by innovation, leadership, and strategic acumen. Starting as a researcher in Libya's Petroleum Research Centre, he led digital transformations in core analysis and reservoir studies. As a Project Engineer in Canada, he shared in developing breakthrough reservoir damage analysis software, contributing to Weatherford’s acquisition of HYCAL Energy  Research Laboratories. His expertise in formation damage and underbalanced drilling technology took him across North Africa, where he helped shape Weatherford's regional growth strategy. Bassam later founded United Energy Services, brokering deals and expanding operations in Libya's oil sector. The unrest in Libya drove him to lead sustainable initiatives as Deputy General Manager at OLA Energy in Kenya and managing director of UGas in Uganda. He continues to provide market intelligence and promote investment opportunities in Libya’s oil and gas industry, combining deep technical knowledge with business strategy and global outreach.
